Motion Capture in Vietnam!

What do you do when you have barely weeks before you are expected to deliver a character animated film for the client?

Our team at Digipost answered the question with the motion capture solution.

Working with seasoned professionals like Visual Effects Supervisor, Rob O’Neil and Director Peter Aquilina, we coordinated with a motion capture studio in Australia, Deakin Labs, to produce a video for the Omo brand in Vietnam.

Unlike the traditional animation process, doing motion capture massively cuts down weeks of animation into a single day.  A perfect solution when you are up against the wall in time.  All we needed was to finalize the 3D models and renders of the character and plan all the actions in a single day of shoot with the motion capture studio.  The process is different but the principals are basically the same when it comes to storyboarding and mapping out the stories in frames.

This being our first attempt, we team up with our partner, RICE & Partners, a video content company, to produce this film.
